Live with us

The Office of Housing and Residential Life invites you to enhance your student success by living in one of our residence halls or on-campus apartments.  All Housing and Residential Life staff work together to ensure that the facilities are safe and clean and that programming and events enhance one's knowledge and understanding about themselves, the Wayne State community, and the world.

Being successful is easy when you are close to campus resources, classes, and events.  Living in the heart of Midtown Detroit, you have easy access to cultural experiences throughout the city.

Residence Halls

Residence hall spaces are furnished and include various community spaces for students to interact.  Each community has a live-in Resident Advisor that provides support, guidance and programming events for residents.  The spaces within Residence Halls are primarily for first-year students.  Residence halls do not have private kitchens, but shared kitchen spaces are available throughout the building.

Apartments

Wayne State offers both furnished and unfurnished apartment options.  Apartment options provide more independent living for students and include kitchens or kitchenettes within each apartment.  Each community has a live-in Resident Advisor that provides support, guidance and programming events for residents.  Students must meet age or class standing requirements to live in apartment housing.
