Hall Council


All residence hall students are eligible to become a member of the Hall Council for each hall. Each Hall Council helps to promote a positive living/learning environment in each of the residence halls by working with university faculty, staff and administration to coordinate and create educational, social, recreational, cultural, and scholastic opportunities within the residence halls. They also assist the Hall Director and Housing Director on issues and policies that affect the community environment of the residence halls.

Some of the events organized by the Hall Council include:

  • barbecues
  • weekend programs
  • trips and orientation
  • workshops and classes to participate in various sports and events
  • movies, music, dance, art shows
  • educational and safety awareness programs
  • games and sports
